Who Am I?
My name is Hillary Wimsatt and I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and mom to a 6 year old and 3 year old. I am a Certified Health Coach helping women prepare their bodies for pregnancy with foundational health improvements.
When my husband and I first decided we wanted to start a family, I didn’t do much of anything to prepare my body for pregnancy. I was completely ignorant to what I should have been doing to have a healthier pregnancy and postpartum. I started to take a prenatal vitamin (that I found online, with no clue what additives or fillers were in it) and that was it. During my pregnancy I developed pre-eclampsia and my doctor was shocked. I was young, seemingly healthy and no other indicators as to why I developed this. During postpartum I developed postpartum anxiety and depression, which lead me to read a few books on the connection between diet, exercise and mental health.
Why am I here?
I am determined to help other women improve their health before pregnancy, helping them lessen the likelihood of developing any pregnancy or postpartum complications that are tied to lifestyle changes. After experiencing these complications firsthand and learning so much more about them and the reasons that I most likely developed such complications, I cannot avoid sharing this information with others.
What you can expect…
As a society we tend to get caught up in the quick and easy fixes for our problems. We will spend money on a pill, new supplement or newest exercise equipment before we stop and fix the foundation. When you work with me, we will be putting more of an emphasis on simple changes you can make with you diet, moving your body, lowering your toxic load, getting outside and clearing your mind.
